Juniors & Seniors: Please check the scrolling announcements for a list of dates and times of colleges who will have a representative here to talk with you if you are interested. Please remember that you have to sign-up in the Guidance Office in order to meet with them. (9/1, 9/2)
Seniors! If you are planning to attend IU, you are eligible to apply for the Wells Scholars Program. This is a Merit based scholarship that will cover the cost of tuition. This is a very rigorous program. If you are interested, pick up an application from Mrs. Smeltzer in the Guidance Office before September 17. Applications are due back to Mrs. Smeltzer on September 20. (9/1, 9/2, 9/3)
Attention all Northridge students -- Youth in Action - formerly know as O Ambassadors - is taking applications for membership from today until the first meeting next Thursday. This is a student organization committed to educating our peers and community on poverty throughout the world. We are seeking students who would be willing to commit to volunteer service throughout the year and to efforts for diminishing world poverty. Please come join us in our efforts to Save the Children of poverty. Applications are in the library and can be returned to Augi in room 211 or Mrs. Lamble in the graphic arts room.
Auditions for the fall comedy Hocus Pocus are scheduled for next Wednesday, September 8th, after school in the auditorium. Any student interested should pick up an audition form and information in the library. Bring the completed form with you next Wednesday. Questions - see Augi in room 211.
Honor Society members - Mrs. Hannah needs your help with the river clean up on Saturday, September 11, from 9:00 AM until noon. Students who are interested need to see Mrs. Hannah or Augi for further information. This is an excellent opportunity to show your leadership and support your community. Those are two of the characteristics of Honor Society you pledged to uphold. Service hours will be awarded.
Northern Lights Orchestra or NLO is the instrumental group playing with Northern Lights and Starlights for performances and competitions. The group has played in the state finals and has won the instrumental award at two different competitions. This is a class that meets outside the school day FOR CREDIT! The award winning group will be holding auditions, and the sign-up is in the library. If you have questions, see Mr. Baker or Mrs. Yoder. (9/1, 9/2, 9/3)
