PowerSchool Parent access

Some clarification about PowerSchool Parent: PowerSchool Parent usernames & passwords do not function as they have in the past. ALL students grades 6-12 were given new instructions at registration. Parents will not be able to use the old usernames and passwords to sign on. You must create your own account and username (even if you were on before). Then you link your students to your account with the access ID and password that is printed on the sheets.

This new access allows parents to view all of your students under one sign on. Parents/guardians can share their student access ID's and passwords with other family members so those family members can create an account (i.e. grandma, non-custodial parent, etc.).


You must have a valid email address and all of your student access ID's and access passwords available during set up.
To create a PowerSchool account:
1. Connect to the Middlebury Community Schools homepage at http://www.mcsin-k12.org
2. Click on Parent Links in the left column.
3. Click on PowerSchool Parents.
4. Click Create Account
5. Enter your name, desired username, email address (required) and password information (must be a minimum of 6 characters).
6. For each of your students enter their name, access ID, access password and your relationship to the student.
7. After set up is complete you will be asked to sign back in using your newly created user name and password.
The first names of your students will appear on tabs in the upper portion of the screen. Click on a tab to view that student's information.

If you would like other family members to have an account (i.e. grandparents, non-custodial parents, etc.) it is your responsibility to provide them with your student access ID's and passwords so that they can create their own account.
If you are unable to add your student to your account with the password provided please pay special attention to the characters. Zeros can often be mistaken for O's; I's, L's and 1's can also be mistaken.

Picture Retake

Picture retake day is Monday, October 4.

PowerSchool Parent update

The PowerSchool Parent sign in will not work with automatic passwords. You need to enter your ID & password each time you log in.

Art Club

Attention artists of Northridge Middle School. If you are in 7th or 8th grade and art is your thing, then this is your year. Starting September 13th the NMS Art Club will begin. Forms for joining the Art Club can be picked up in the front office or the art room, and must be submitted by September 6th.

B/G Club volleyball

Tryouts for Boys and Girls Club Volleyball for both the boys' team and the girls' team are Tuesday, September 7 and Thursday, September 9 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Student Council

If you have an interest in being a Student Council Representative, you may pick up an application in the front office. The application needs to be returned by Friday, September 3. Late applications will not be accepted under any circumstances

21st Century Scholar

If you filled out a 21st Century Scholar form last year and you have a new address * you must contact them. If you have questions about how to do this see your guidance counselor. New students, if you filled out a 21st Century Scholar form at your previous school you have definitely moved, so come see your guidance counselor.
