Dear Parents,
Thank you very much for your consistent efforts to help us bring our student bus transportation database up to date. Because of your efforts in recent years, we are once again able to "roll over" this year's data into next school year. If for any reason your student's busing needs change, please fill out a 2020-2021 Transportation Request Form and return it to us.
Given our bus driver shortage and the crowded buses, it is very important to let us know when your student will no longer be riding a bus, as that seat can then be utilized by another rider. Also, please remember to be aware of the timing for Fall 2020, all bus routes for next year will be established by July 24th, 2020. Any change made after that date WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A BUS ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
We appreciate your continued cooperation, as it is our goal to offer safe and reliable transportation to each of our students. We will continue to strive for excellence as we transport our students daily.
Thank You,
Middlebury Community Schools

Jr./Sr. Transportation Request Form - 2019-2020 School Year
Due to the recent trend of most upperclassmen driving themselves, or riding with parents or friends, to the high school, all Juniors and Seniors for the 2019-2020 school year will be dropped from the bus transportation list. Bus transportation will still be available to every student but if your student is a junior or senior, and you wish to take advantage of this, you will need to fill out, date, sign and return this form as soon as possible. If your student will not require bus transportation, you need to do nothing.

Bus Transportation Change for 2017-18 School Year

*** NO MORE ALTERNATE BUS STOPS ***
As you may have heard, Middlebury Community Schools is struggling with finding enough bus drivers to run our bus routes. Other neighboring districts have the same problem and they have had to increase walk zones to a mile and even 2 miles. We do not want to go to that extreme until we have exhausted every other option.
Beginning in the 2017-18 school year Middlebury Community Schools will no longer allow students to have an alternate bus stop. All students will only be allowed 1 bus stop for the AM route and 1 bus stop for the PM route for the whole school year. Parents will have to determine 1 AM pick up point and 1 PM drop off point that will be used all year long. If an issue arises during the school day, a parent’s only other option will be to pick up their child from the school. Parents will be receiving a form to determine the AM pick-up and PM drop-off in the next few weeks. Please plan very carefully when you to choose your 1 stop for AM and 1 stop for PM for the entire 2017-18 school year.
