Tonight's Cross Country meet at Goshen (Shanklin Park) has been changed to an approximate start time of 5:30pm.

Big 11 ticket prices: adults are $5, students/grandparents are $3. Family passes are available for $75. Grandparent passes are $20/grandparent. Please request passes by emailing smithja@mcsin-k12.org. Passes are good only for HOME events, but not tournaments.

7th & 8th grade football won tonight over Elkhart in convincing fashion to start the season off 1-0!

Great night to be a Raider! Volleyball opened their season with all four teams winning over Westview. Varsity winning in straight sets for both 7th & 8th grade while both JV teams battled hard winning in three sets. GO RAIDERS!!

Parent meeting TONIGHT at 6 p.m. in the NMS Auditorium for ALL fall sports - Cross Country, Football, B&G Soccer and Volleyball. You may enter Door 5 or Door 26 (Door 1 closed). Meetings will be done by 6:45 to allow parents to attend High School meeting as well.

We are gearing up for another fun and successful fall sports season! A few reminders if your child would like to participate this fall:
-There is a transportation fee of $35. There is an additional $80 fee for football (which includes a 7pad girdle, practice jersey, mouthpiece and helmet reconditioning fee).
-If you are experiencing financial difficulties for transportation fees, please contact Mr. Smith at smithja@mcsin-k12.org. Students will not be denied participation due to financial hardships.
-All fees can be paid to the coach with check, cash or preferred payment of online via EventLink.
-All physical forms and other documents should be on file by registering through Final Forms.
-There is meeting for fall sports participant parents on Thursday, 8/7 at 6pm at NMS (location either in the Auditorium or Main Gym).
-You can visit the website (https://www.mcsin-k12.org/o/nms-athletics) and select the sport to learn more information.

NMS Football is having OPTIONAL workouts on July 14th, 16th, 21st and 23rd from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at NMS Football field. No pads! Just cleats/gym shoes (in case inside) and water bottle is needed.

Fall sports information has been updated on the NMS Athletics website: https://www.mcsin-k12.org/o/nms-athletics ALL sports start August 4th at varying times. ALL athletes must have Final Forms completed with the Doctor Signature page uploaded BEFORE the first practice. We do NOT need a paper copy at the middle school. We had a successful Big 11 Track meet with three of our teams placing second and many individual champions including: Brayleigh Adams - 800m & 1600m; Quincy Schwartz - 800m & 1600m;  Andyn McCLane - 800m & 1600m; Aaron King - Discus; Lilly Bromley, Quincy Schwartz, Skylar Goodwin & Addie Sloop 1600m relay; Ben Eichorn, Eric Beechy, Andyn McClane & Cole Yeater 1600m relay; Augy Judd, Parker Jones, Aaron King & Kane Yeater 1600m relay!

The tennis match scheduled for tonight with LaVille Jr. High has been canceled. I apologize for the late notice. Unfortunately, they do not have a team this year and should have been removed from the schedule earlier. There will be no practice tonight.
