Students got hands-on with life-saving tools and even stepped inside the ambulance, which was clearly their favorite moment!!
Bonus: Ms. Wagner got to honk the horn and was beyond excited! 🚨👏

Last night the school board honored Angely Gonzales Rivera during the Middlebury Moment.
Angely arrived at Northridge as a struggling student and behind in credits. She faced many challenges at her previous school. However, since transferring to NHS, Angely has undergone a remarkable transformation. She has discovered her self-worth and is thriving academically. She has made significant progress, and with continued hard work during this new school year, we believe she will graduate with the Class of 2026! Angely was nominated by her Counselor, Mrs. Todt, and her assistant principals, Dr. Whonsetler and Mr. Highly. They have described her as a wonderful student with an unwavering work ethic and incredible determination. They stated that she has gained confidence, discovered her true potential, and is now firmly on the path to success. Angely- we are so very proud of you!

Here’s the scoop:
When traveling out of state, Indiana code limits traditional school buses to a maximum of 200 miles round-trip beyond the state line— unless the bus has certain modifications. Because of this restriction, our district has been spending around $20,000 a year on charter buses, with parents often stepping up to help fundraise/donate additional dollars.
Now, we’re making a one-time investment to modify (and “wrap”) two buses, which lifts those beyond the state line mileage restrictions. These buses cannot be used for daily routes, but they can be used for field trips, athletic trips, and trips for academic competitions like theater, science olympiad, band, choir, and more.
The best part? We spent less to modify both buses than we typically do in a single year on charters.
So yes—it’s just two buses.
And yes—we’re saving money.
And yes—we’re doing it in style! 😎

Rudy was a light in our community. He showed us all what it means to live with faith, courage, and love. Even in the face of tremendous challenges, Rudy found the good. He smiled when others might have cried. He encouraged others when he was the one who needed support. He lived fully, with a spirit that reminded us to be present, to be kind, and to never take the gift of life for granted.
His parents have been a pillar of strength- steadily walking with Rudy every step of the way, while also lovingly lifting up his incredible younger sister, Lucy. Their example of hope and unwavering positivity has inspired us all.
Though Rudy’s life was far too short, our community is forever changed because of the way he lived- with faith, with courage and with love.
May we all strive to #LiveLikeRudy
