York PTO and some York staff had two work mornings to get our landscaping back to school ready. The PTO also graciously funded the redo of our middle garden area. Everyone thinks it looks great! Thanks to all who helped!

York's Lost and Found. You may either call the office, message your child's teacher, or send your child down to the office tomorrow to retrieve an item(s).

A huge "Thank You!" to our PTO for providing a Kona Ice treat every year to our third graders. It is always a highlight!

Today, students who sold 40 or more raffle tickets for our PTO auction/carnival fundraiser were able to enjoy ice cream and an extra recess this afternoon.

Don't forget York's kindergarten round-up is an open house this Wednesday, April 30th, from 3:30-5:30. If you have an incoming kindergartener and have not yet enrolled, you can visit the Middlebury Schools website and click on "Kindergarten Enrollment" to begin the process. Hope to see all our incoming kindergarteners and families this Wednesday!

Time to register for the Northridge Boys Basketball Summer Camp. See the attached details.

Kindergarten Round-up for York is quickly approaching! If you or someone you know has a child that will be 5 by August 1st and is wanting to enroll them in kindergarten, now is the time. We are asking families to enroll prior to Round-Up on April 30th if possible.

The staff at York wishes everyone a safe and fun Spring Break. See you back on Monday, April 14th!

Is your child interested in learning to play pickleball? Check out this summer opportunity!

It is time once again to clean out our lost and found. Items will be available in the lobby for those attending parent teacher conferences. Otherwise if you see something that belongs to your child, please send them to the office to pick it up. We will be clearing the items out at the end of the week. Thank you!

Here are some highlights from Ability Week. A big shout out to Mrs. Hamood and Mrs. Salisbury for all the work they did in making this possible. It was great to see the kids begin to understand disabilities and see a glimpse on some challenges that people with disabilities may experience.

We would like to give a shout out to Marcus Hochstetler from Compassion Doberman and Canine for sharing three of his bulldog puppies with us yesterday afternoon. The staff enjoyed spending time with them during collaborations and it brought everyone some much needed joy! Thank you so much Marcus!

Mrs. Salisbury, our librarian, had started a once a week crocheting/knitting group with a few third graders during recess time. It is fun to see the staff at York find unique ways to connect with the students.
