York just finished it's lessons emphasizing our commitment to take a stand against bullying. A display was created by Mrs. Hamood, our school counselor, with the help of students and adults in the building. Check out this display in our front lobby next time you visit. We are proud of our students as they develop habits of showing respect, kindness, and compassion to all people!

York wants to thank all the volunteers from our community who spent time in each of our classes today with the Junior Achievement program. Junior Achievement exposes kids to basic business concepts and skills that enable them to understand real-life economics. The kids really enjoyed having them with us today!

Reminder that all School Smiles consent forms to be seen by the dentist are due tomorrow, September 26th.
York is looking to continue a program called "Blessings in a Backpack" for 40+ families this school year. The program provides bags for food sent home every Friday in the student's backpack to help for the weekend. The cost to make this possible is $100/student for the year. We have a goal of $4500. Please share this with family and friends to help us meet our goal! Checks can be made out to "Blessings in a Backpack" and sent to the school in an envelope marked "Blessings". Every amount makes a difference! Thank you for considering to help!
We have accumulated some lunch items such as containers, lunch boxes, and water bottles in our lost and found. If you recognize one of these as your child's, please either stop by the office to retrieve them or ask your student to stop by and pick them up. Thanks!

Girl Powered Workshop. Join us for a fun morning of hands-on STEM related activities for K - 5th grade girls. The workshop will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 9:30- 11:30 AM at Northridge High School. The Northridge Youth Basketball Association is excited to announce registration for Raiderball 2023. The league will run from October 2nd - November 15th. Practice will be on Monday nights, with games on Wednesday evenings. Cost is $60 per child and includes a uniform.
