York Skating Party! Tomorrow, Thursday October 13th, from 5:30 - 8:00. Location: Eby Pine's Skating Rink
For the month of October, we challenge you to read:
-In a pumpkin patch
-In a costume
-On a hayride
-With pumpkins, gourds, mums or any fall decorations
-On your fall break trip
New this year!! Grade level challenges!
Kindergarten: Take a photo while you read a book about the moon.
First Grade: Take a photo while you read a book about pumpkins.
Second Grade: Take a photo while you read a book about bats.
Third Grade: Take a photo while you read a book about spiders.
York Reads Everywhere! Letters are coming home explaining the challenge for October. Make sure you take a photo and post it to the York Facebook page. Comment on the post to share the photo. At the end of the month, Mr. Kominowski will share the unusual places on announcements and those students will be entered in a raffle where one student will receive a prize. Can't wait to see the places you are reading!

Girl Powered Workshop for 3rd - 5th grade girls being held at Northridge High School on Saturday, October 8th from 9:30-11:30. This will be a fun morning of hands-on STEM related activities.
Door 15 opens at 9:10 for registration. Please have an adult with you for registration. Bring your own snack and water bottle.

Rescheduled School Picture Day is October 5th.
Due to the two hour delay, school pictures will be rescheduled for a later date. Breakfast will be served for those students who are unable to eat breakfast at home this morning.

York Reads Everywhere! We invite your family to join our whole school with our monthly reading challenge. Letters are going home today that explain the challenge for September. Take a photo of yourself reading in one of the spots and share it in the comments on this post.
