The members of our school board visited every school today, along with having lunch in the cafeteria. We are so thankful for a board who values what is best for students above all else. Thank you for the visit!!
Dr. Snyder had the privilege of riding along on the route for bus #11 last week. He enjoyed this time getting to hear from students about how much they enjoy riding the bus, how much they love their teacher, and what their favorite things are about school. Thank you to all of our bus drivers for being patient and kind to our students every day!
Our high school students are off to a great start this year! They are forming friendships and learning more and more every day.

Our building managers and custodial staff always go above and beyond to make sure that buildings are clean and safe. We appreciate them very much!!

Monday is the last day for families in grades 4-12 to sign up for the chromebook optional protection plan. Enrollment forms and payment can be taken to the school office. The coverage is good from August - July and covers 3 accidental damages. The technology department has worked to hand out over 2,500 Chromebooks Wednesday and Thursday of this week. HIS students got their brand new devices yesterday. This was a very citing time for 4th and 5th grade students!

Middlebury Community Schools is excited to share a new tool to make communication between guardians, students, and teachers even easier than before. Families should have or will be receiving a text or email invite with information on how to create an account and sign up for this tool, called Rooms (Edu Rooms). We encourage everyone to create an account and use this tool to communicate with teachers. Codes will be sent again this afternoon for anyone that may have missed the original messages.

After you’ve created your login, you can access Rooms through the MCS app. Once you’re there, you’ll see a toggle at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Just touch Rooms to get started. If you have multiple children attending our district, you’ll see them all listed in the menu section of Rooms. You may need to delete and redownload the app if you already have it.
Please note, there was an issue with the app yesterday that has been corrected. Thank you for your patience while we sorted this issue out.

MCS staff members had an awesome opening day celebration this morning. Dr. Snyder and the co-presidents of the MTA spoke, and staff were treated to a presentation from Dr. Amber Selking. Dr. Selking is the VP of Leadership and Culture at Lippert and works with the LSU football team as a performance consultant. She encouraged our staff to build a champion mindset and discussed the positive impact educators can have in the community. Staff were treated to a "go-box" of snacks after the event. What a great way to kick-off the year!!!
