What a great day for our 8th grade graduation!
You know it is close to the end of the year when students turn in their Chromebooks. Chromebook collection is happening today and tomorrow in all buildings. We love seeing these smiling faces!
The 2024 senior class was honored last night during the annual senior recognition ceremony. NHS has a great group of seniors ready to head out into the world! We are especially thankful to all of the different organizations who have honored our students with scholarships!

The Northridge Lady Raiders won the tennis Sectional Championship on Thursday! Go Raiders!
Retirements were announced during the school board meeting this past Tuesday. We want to highlight two of our building secretaries who are retiring at the end of the current school year. These ladies are invaluable and together hold over 48.5 years of experience! We wish you the best in retirement Vicki Lundquist (Middlebury Elementary) and Juanita Friesen (Jefferson Elementary)!!
Jefferson Elementary School 1st grade students recently visited several businesses in downtown Middlebury to learn more about our local economy. Thank you to Varns and Hoover, First State Bank, Market on the Mill/Joyfully Said Signs, and Middlebury Fire and EMS!
The Middlebury Community Schools board of trustees honored this year's retirements at last night's board meeting. These wonderful employees have over 150 years of experience in education between them! We can't thank them enough for their dedication to our children and will miss them next year. Heritage Intermediate 4th grade students are enjoying their class time with reading activities as well as art!
Jefferson Elementary celebrated beach day on Friday. What a great way to have fun in the cafeteria!! Students and staff both had a wonderful time and enjoyed some yummy food!

MCS board member Caleb Mast visited York Elementary today. He was able to interact with students in the classroom
and on the playground, including his own daughter. We are fortunate that our board members have a desire to be in our schools to learn more about what happens in classrooms!
Northridge Middle School 8th grade students are learning about the Civil War as a part of their end of the year activities. We can't wait for Civil War Day!

Today is National School Nurse Day! We want to thank each of our school nurses for the incredible work that they do every day with students. They assist with medications, monitor student health issues, put band-aids on bumps, keep track of lost teeth of little ones, listen, encourage, communicate, and more!! Our schools would not be the same without each of you!!

Today is National School Lunch Hero Day. We have some awesome heroes in each of our schools! Some of our students will eat 2/3 of their meals at school each week and these staff members serve all of those meals. These ladies provide nutritional breakfasts and lunches and serve each student with a smile. Our appreciation can't be stated loudly enough. Thank you for all that you do each day!!!
