Celebration! Our students grew a lot in the first two quarters which means a lot of hard work took place. The students and staff at Jefferson celebrated with a hallway dance party! It's great to be a Tiger!

The next JES PTO Meeting is Tuesday, January 16 @ 6:30pm. We'd love to have more people attend as we plan activities for the Spring Fling and the rest of the school year.
School Smiles Dentists are returning to Jefferson on January 29th! If you are interested in participating, they provide on-site dental care at our school for ALL students that sign up to participate. The dental team will set up at our school and they accept Medicaid, private insurance, offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation. Use the following web address to register online.

Start out the New Year by volunteering to work with students at JES helping them connect to our community. Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers to work with our students. We only have a few spots to fill. Our students love Junior Achievement days, they learn a lot, and enjoy working with adults in our community. Third grade students help Santa hire an elf by reading the applications, close reading stories about the elves, collaborating, and presenting their selection to Santa. Sparkle was the elf hired! Great job third graders!
Shout Out to our second graders who met their reading goals. We love to celebrate student successes! 2nd grade students completed a reading challenge for all of quarter 2. Students who read 14 hours or more got to celebrate Thursday. We had pizza and got to celebrate our hard work with our friends!
Giving Parade is a success. Goal met and then we celebrated! 1368 cans and other items were donated to our area food pantry.
