York's Kindergarten Round-Up is tomorrow!

The School Smiles dentist is returning to our school soon for dental cleanings. If you missed the dentist’s first visit, there is still time to get your student signed up for our upcoming visit! Please visit www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup to sign-up today! A new form needs completed each school year to remain in the program, but if you have already completed a form for the 2023-24 school year, you do not need to sign-up again. School Smiles accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and offers self-pay rates for those who may be uninsured.

This week Mrs. Everidge and Mrs. Hamood visited our second and third grade classrooms to talk about the importance of having good hygiene. They talked about important topics such as the proper way to wash hands, the importance of brushing teeth regularly, and even did fun experiment showing just how easy it is to spread germs using a black light! How cool?! Our goal is to instill healthy habits in our students to keep them happy and healthy!

York will be hosting a blood drive in May. Check out the image and scan the QR code to sign up!

Mrs. Davies class continued their fun exploring sounds and vibrations this week by making pan flutes!

Some of our second and third grade students stayed after school yesterday for the first math club. Thanks to Mrs. Bromley, Miss Huys, and Mrs. Kenworthy for organizing fun and engaging math activities for the student to get excited about!

Our second and third grade students have been working hard and learning so much this year. We thought we would celebrate all they have accomplished and get them "pumped up" for IRead this week. The theme was "Donut Stress the Test". The kids enjoyed a donut treat and the video below that was created by many of the staff. We are very proud of these kids!
